I think there are barangay ordinances about waste segregation but the implementation is really very weak. I see three trash bins in the urban barangays for people to segregate their trash but nobody pays attention seriously to segregate their trash in these bins. People just practically throw their garbage in any of the bins they see. Maybe the labeling of the bins are not clear enough. Or maybe some people don't understand what the label means (which is hard for me to accept). Or maybe, people don't know the value of waste segregation. In the interior barangays like Pagatpat, Upper Balulang, Baikingon, Lumbia, etc., we are not sure how waste management is implemented. On the other hand, they may have not much waste to manage but I'm not really sure about that too.
